Skills shortages meet untapped potential: More and more qualified professionals with disabilities are unable or unwilling to work the traditional 9-to-5 schedule—but are very much open to working independently, on a project basis, or as freelancers. At the same time, companies are seeking flexible solutions to fill open positions.

Our two-hour event brings both perspectives together:

How can new work models build bridges? What opportunities do self-employment and freelance work offer people with disabilities? And how do employers benefit from greater flexibility and diversity?

A special highlight is the keynote address by Dr. B. M. Zielinski, who will present his study and his book “Self-Employment with Severe Disabilities? Participation Potential of a Barely Recognized Form of Employment.” He highlights the social and economic potential inherent in this previously overlooked career option.

You’ll also learn how the Würzburg Integration Service, 360° BASE, and the “Barrierefrei gründen” advisory service can provide concrete support to employers and skilled workers interested in starting their own businesses—from consulting and guidance to sustainable cooperation models.

The event is aimed at:

  • Employers seeking new ways to secure skilled workers
  • People with disabilities who have professional qualifications and are interested in self-employment
  • Anyone who wants to make work more inclusive and flexible

Let’s rethink work together—in a practical, solution-oriented, and forward-looking way.

Sign up now and become part of a workplace that sees diversity as a strength.
