E-invoicing is here! Everything you need to know now
Introduction of the electronic invoice from January 1, 2025
Since January 1, 2025, e-invoicing has been mandatory – and it will fundamentally change accounting in companies. From this date, all companies in Germany must be able to receive and process electronic invoices. The introduction of the e-invoice obligation in the B2B sector will take place gradually, with transitional periods until December 31, 2027, after which issuing e-invoices to business partners will also become mandatory.
With the Growth Opportunities Act (Wachstumschancengesetz) and the planned introduction of an electronic reporting system to combat VAT fraud starting in 2028, the e-invoice will soon become an indispensable tool in the B2B sector. The era of paper invoices is coming to an end.
Be well-prepared now and learn everything you need to know to implement e-invoicing in your company in our compact, practice-oriented presentation.
We will explain the current legal requirements and outline the relevant transitional periods. You will receive practical information on the common invoice formats ZUGFeRD and XRechnung as well as their application in practice.
