Solutions for regional challenges in the social sector

Over several months, 40 students from the Bachelor’s degree programme “Management in Healthcare” at THWS worked on regional challenges as part of the “Digitalisation” module taught by Prof. Sven Warnke. The challenges were provided by Caritas, Malteser, Foodsharing Würzburg and the start-up Awesome Technologies.

ZDI Mainfranken and the Social Startup Hub Bayern Mainfranken from the GRIBS start-up centre in Schweinfurt supported the students methodologically in working on the challenges. Through interviews and surveys with the target groups, the students gained deeper insights into the problems. Various canvases were used to structure the insights gained and to prepare the solution ideas for the final presentation.

After a keynote by Julia Amann, founder of the Würzburg-based start-up InstiKom, a provider of an administration and communication platform for institutions in the social economy, eight teams will present their solutions to the challenges.
