Founders Center GRIBS Schweinfurt The GRIBS Business and Technology Center Schweinfurt has been active since 1994, with its core business in startup consulting and other, also time-specific, projects. IHK Würzburg-Schweinfurt The Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Würzburg-Schweinfurt is the chamber of industry and commerce for the Mainfranken region and supports around 71,000 member companies. It represents the overall interests of the commercial economy in Mainfranken. The IHK district covers the cities of Würzburg and Schweinfurt as well as the districts of Bad Kissingen, Haßberge, Kitzingen, Main-Spessart, Rhön-Grabfeld, Schweinfurt, and Würzburg.
HWK Lower Franconia With the support of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts for Lower Franconia (HWK Unterfranken), craft industry founders can successfully start their journey into self-employment. Business management consulting for founders in the skilled crafts sector is an essential part of the craft industry’s business development services. Craft enterprises can make use of this consulting service at any time. ZDI Mainfranken The Center for Digital Innovations (ZDI) Mainfranken is a startup center in Würzburg and is intended to represent the entire Mainfranken region. As a digital startup center, the ZDI Mainfranken promotes the founding activities of digital startups. Together with cooperation partners – universities, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), and the startup centers in Würzburg, Schweinfurt, and Bad Kissingen – it forms a region-wide startup ecosystem at the interface between science and business. The ZDI Mainfranken is supported by companies from the region, its network partners. In addition to organizing events, the center is represented in three buildings at Hubland: the Idea Lab in the Tower, the Startup Lab in the Cube, and the Incubator.

IGZ Würzburg The Innovation and Startup Center (IGZ) Würzburg is the largest startup center in Lower Franconia. Specializing in high-tech startups, the center offers young companies 3,000 m² of office space and 2,500 m² of laboratory space for rent. As the only center in the region with an industry focus on life sciences, it provides the necessary infrastructure (laboratory space), support services (consulting, coaching, qualification), and access to relevant supraregional “life science networks” for the successful development of startups in this sector. The IGZ is a location partner of the Bavarian Biotechnology Cluster.
TGZ Würzburg We are positioned as one of the central launchpads for founders as well as an innovation advisory center in the region, supporting technology-oriented startups with a focus on automation, Industry 4.0, aerospace, and machine-controlled technologies through suitable infrastructure and an active network. Our four-story, modern building – with a large workshop hall for building prototypes and carrying out tests, as well as additional event spaces – provides room for innovations made in Würzburg. Together with the other local startup centers, we contribute to an active startup scene in Würzburg and work on innovative projects to strengthen the Mainfranken economic region.
Starthouse Spessart We bring together the regional business community with developers of innovative ideas, creating a valuable network of digital and innovative forward-thinkers. In the newly created and modern premises in the center of Lohr am Main, founders are given the necessary tools to realize and test their digital business ideas. We offer an innovation ecosystem that connects business, science, and society. Young entrepreneurs are directly integrated into a strong network of regional companies, public institutions, and funding bodies, and benefit from coaching, events, and mentoring programs.

Through innovative and agile methods, founders are prepared to deal with uncertainty and novelty in new business fields and to design iterative product development cycles.
